How do I book The Headliners?
Hiring The Headliners is very simple:
First, decide whether you'd like the classic five-piece band, or whether you're after a different line-up (see The Band).
Then decide whether you require our DJ service.
Please then complete our simple online enquiry form, or alternatively call us on 07989 331006 (Phil) or 07515 854156 (Mike) and we'll be able to confirm availability and price for your event.
Once you're happy, we will issue a contract confirming all details, which should be returned together with a deposit, to secure your booking. The deposit is equivalent to 25% of the total fee; the balance is then due at least seven days prior to your event.
We'll remain in contact with you all the way up until the event and make sure we have all necessary information to make your event's musical entertainment brilliant and unforgettable.
If you've come to our site via an entertainment agent, please refer back to them and they'll take you through the process.

How far in advance should I book The Headliners?
It is always advisable to book us as soon as possible to ensure we'll be available!
Some people, particularly with their wedding, book their band years ahead of the event, others leave it very late - it's always worth checking with us, as even at the last minute we may be available or have a cancellation.

How much do you cost?
Our fee for a performance is based on a number of factors:
Size of band;
Whether our DJ service is required;
Location;
Set-up time;
Playing time;
Finish time.
As it's impossible to quote a one-size-fits-all-price, we've provided a simple enquiry form, which will provide us with all the initial information we need to confirm our availability and give you a price for your event.

How long can you play for?
We usually provide up to two hours, plus encore, of live music. This is normally split into two or three sets:
2 sets of 45 minutes

2 sets of 1 hour
or
3 sets of 40 minutes
The band can play longer sets, so please feel free to discuss this with us when you contact us.
If required, our DJ service will provide music before the performance and during breaks.

How long do you need to set up?
Again, this depends on a number of factors, but a good general rule is that it takes approximately one hour to set up, once the band has access to the performance space.
If the venue has difficult access, parking problems, lots of stairs etc, it's useful for us to be made aware of this in advance, so we can adjust our arrival time accordingly.

How much room do you need?
This of course depends on the size of the band and whether the DJ service is required.
Generally, the five piece band can fit into spaces 16 feet wide x 8 feet deep (5 metres x 2.5 metres) and above.
If our DJ service is required, the width should be increased by 4 feet (1.5 metres).
If you're unsure, don't worry, we'll always find a way of making it work. Just contact us.

If we don't have the DJ service, will you still provide background music?
Yes. We'll still provide background music before the performance and during breaks, the only difference being that you and your guests won't be able to request specific songs . You can always provide an iPod, which we'll be happy to run through our sound system during band breaks.
Can you play the first dance for our wedding?
Yes. If the song you want is not already in our setlist, there are two choices:
1. If you would like the band to perform it, please give us at least four weeks notice, and we'll learn it and play it for you. If you're learning a special dance, please be sure to tell us which version of the song you would like us to play.
2. You may prefer to have the original artist version of the song. If you've booked our DJ service, we can play this for you. If not, please provide the song on CD on the day and we'll play this through our sound system for you.

Can we come to see you play before we book you?
Almost all of the performances we do are private functions, so coming to see the band can prove tricky. We hope that our promotional video, in combination with the extensive demo tracks and pictures we've provided on the site will give you a good idea of what we offer.
If, however, you really feel that you must see the band play live before booking us, we have, on occasion, arranged for a potential client to be present at a sound check. This is when the band have set their equipment up and will play through a couple of songs to set levels, etc. This would obviously have to be by prior arrangement and at a mutually convenient venue.
